I would like to understand why active and recent conversations are vanishing from history. The worst case was a conversation that froze between prompts and then disappeared and was then not listed in history.
Hi @xnirober,
Welcome to the Quick community!
I’m sorry for the inconvenience caused by your conversations disappearing. I’d be glad to help you recover them and prevent this going forward.
Here are a few steps I’d recommend trying:
1. Restore recently deleted chats: Deleted conversations can be recovered for up to 7 days. In any chat, simply type Restore my recently deleted chat and Amazon Quick will attempt to recover it for you.
2. Restart the app: If a conversation appeared to freeze between prompts, I’d recommend fully closing and reopening the app. In some cases an interrupted turn may not have saved cleanly, and a fresh restart can help. If an update is pending, please allow it to finish installing before relaunching, kindly avoid force-launching the app mid-update.
3. Make sure the app is up to date: If your Amazon Quick Desktop app isn’t on the latest version, please update it, as newer releases include stability fixes.
4. Review the community guidance: This community post may also be helpful, especially if the conversations went missing after a software update: I lost all my chats, context, etc after software update - #2 by Xclipse
If the issue persists after trying these steps, I’d recommend filing a case with AWS Support so we can dive into the details and assist you further. Here are the steps to open a support case.
Hi @xnirober,
Just checking back in since we haven’t heard from you in a bit. I wanted to see if the guidance shared earlier helped resolve your question, or if you found a solution in the meantime. Moreover, if you submitted a support ticket and it uncovered any findings, please feel free to share them!
If you still have any additional questions related to your initial post, feel free to share them. Otherwise, any update you’re able to provide within the next 3 business days would be helpful for the community.
Thank you.
Hi @xnirober,
Since I haven’t received any further updates from you, I’ll treat this inquiry as complete at this time. Please feel free to create a new post if you have more questions.
