Thanks for the cli commands for update dashboard.

But when I run this command, I am getting errors:

aws quicksight update-dashboard --aws-account-id xxxxxx --dashboard-id 0ff89e4d-13f3-4146-babd-699daa2dc5fa --name “HR Reports new”. --source-entity “HR Reports”

Hi @gopinathpc - Can you please try the below command. source entity is optional.

aws quicksight update-dashboard --aws-account-id xxxxxx --dashboard-id 0ff89e4d-13f3-4146-babd-699daa2dc5fa --name “HR Reports new”

Hi @gopinathpc - Ok, as per documentation it is not mandatory field for source entity, is it possible to describe the dashboard and provide the details on the source entity arn? I believe instead of using source entity, you may need to put the arn… see the below API details…

If I dont use source entity (which is optional), I get these errors.

Hi @gopinathpc - You are correct, can you use source entity and give the arn details as per the documentation.

Hi @gopinathpc,
It’s been awhile since we last heard from you. Were you able to try Sanjeeb’s last suggestion and if so, did it help for your case?

Let us know if you have any additional questions. Otherwise, if we don’t hear back from you within 3 business days I’ll go ahead and archive this topic.

Thank you!
