I would like to connect data from different datasets.
Most of our datasets come as S3.
If I join the datasets, the join contains all the columns of both datasets. If I do not need all of these columns, i have to exclude the fields I do not want to see.
Is there any other option than to joining and excluding, such as querying?

Hi @JuliaFee – Did you explore using [Athena as a datasource](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/quicksight/latest/user/create-a-data-set-athena.html) in quicksight? Using Athena you can customize your query to specify the data you want to use in quicksight.
