Hi,
I’m looking to automate the process of updating survey data in a quicksight dashboard. Could anyone please guide me on how it could be done?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Abhinav - Welcome to AWS Quick Sight community and thanks for posting the question. If you want to have a real time reporting, you have to store the data ( possibly in S3) and then connect S3 with Quick Sight. However a detail discussion is require to understand the exact requirement.

Hi @Koushik_Muthanna @SD_QS @eperts @Max - Please provide your expert advise.

Regards - Sanjeeb

hi @Abhinav

How are you storing your survey data?

You would need to connect the data to quicksight and the you can either run a scheduled refresh or have it direct query, which queries the data each time you look at it.

Hello,

Thank you for the responses. Currently, I’m downloading the data from Qualtrics and keeping it as excel files in my device locally. Could anyone guide me on how can this process be made simpler/automated?

There are different dashboard refresh cadences for different dashboards: weekly, monthly and in future there might be daily refreshes needed as well.
I’m happy to connect over a call and discuss more about it.

Thanks!

Does Qualtrics have an api that you can use to download? If so, you can hit the api, store that data in s3, and use Athena to connect to quicksight.

> Amazon Athena is a serverless, interactive analytics service that provides a simplified and flexible way to analyze petabytes of data where it lives.

Hi Max,

Can I get more support to understand how the above tasks could be done?
