# Existing datasets access

Hello,  
I am trying to build a dashboard using the existing datasets, but the dashboard gives me an error saying “i do not have access to the datasets and i should contact dataset owner”. is there an LDAP group i should be added to or a way to find the dataset owner?

Hi @codhiamb ,

Since this is a public user forum, unfortunately there is not much I can do in terms of granting you access to specific assets within your Quick account. My recommendation is to try and reach out to the original owner of the dashboard. Another route you can take is to reach out internally to a Quick admin for your account and they can potentially grant you access.

Just checking back in since this thread hasn’t received a response in a while. Were you able to see Jacob’s most recent message in regard to reaching out to the original dataset owner or admin. Please help the community following up in general within the next 3 business days!
