False Error Alert During Bulk Schedule Upload in Quick Apps

I built a Scheduling App using Quick Apps. When I attempt to upload bulk schedules through the app, the data uploads successfully — however, the QuickSight frontend displays the following error message:

“Couldn’t save your data. Something went wrong while saving data, so most recent changes may not be saved. Please try again.”

This appears to be a false positive error, as all the data is being uploaded and saved correctly despite the warning. I consulted AI for troubleshooting, and it confirmed that the error originates from the QuickSight frontend layer rather than the underlying application code or data operations.

Ask: How can I suppress or resolve this misleading pop-up error to avoid confusion for end users?

Hi @sathimag,

This is an interesting case you’ve found. The behavior you’re describing isn’t something I can find a documented cause or fix for. I’m attaching the Troubleshooting apps in Quick - Amazon Quick documentation, in case its of any use. Near the bottom of the doc it does mention one thing you can try for debugging, you can have the agent add a debug panel that logs your storage operations and integration calls, scoped to only your user alias so end users don’t see it. That lets you watch each write during a bulk upload and confirm whether every operation returns cleanly or one is throwing. If you can spot which call errors, you can ask the agent to handle that case so the error state isn’t raised when the save actually succeeds.

Hope this helps!
