Hi All,

I have a Table visual to pull the data for last three months in three separate columns(current Month, Prior Month, Two months Prior). To make the headers dynamic, I am using the parameters in the column headings.(screenshot below)

The issue: the parameter value (date) only displays in one format — **YYYY-MM-DD**. I found examples where **Free-form with Insights** can show formatted month/year labels, but that won’t work for us because the client needs to **export the table to CSV** , and we need the exported column headers to be month-formatted as well.

Is there a way in a **Table visual** to format a **parameter-driven column header** as **“MMMM - yyyy”** (e.g., **“March - 2026”** ) instead of **YYYY-MM-DD**? Any recommended workaround that still preserves clean CSV exports would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi @praveen.gp

Please refer to the following community post, where a similar query has already been discussed.

> Hi @Robson_Fernandes and welcome to the Quick Sight community! To format the parameter value in a header, you would need to alter the date format in your parameter control when creating a control:

Thanks for sharing.

The approach in that post relies on a **Free-form layout**. While Free-form works fine for viewing the visual in the dashboard, it doesn’t behave the same way when exporting to **CSV** , so it won’t meet our export requirement.

The same concern for the Line visual as well. How can I change the Months in the Legends dynamically ?

Is there any approach. Please let us know.

Thank you!

Hi @praveen.gp

This is indeed a current limitation when working with tables in Quick Suite, and unfortunately there isn’t a straightforward workaround that can fully meet your requirements.

As you’ve likely observed through testing, the only way to dynamically change column headers is by using parameters. However, Quick Suite does not currently support deriving or incrementing one parameter’s value from another in a way that would let you automatically adjust the header labels (for example, moving from the current month to the prior month and so on).

I’ll mark this as a feature request to help raise visibility with the support and product teams.
