Hello - I am trying to load a dataset that is a csv file and it is around 580 MB ( which I think is too large) for spice and it is continuously timing out. How do I handle this? Should I pass an S3 manifest file link? Also I don’t think I am able to use Athena for the same. I get the below error trying to connect with athena for the same. What are the possible solutions here?

Hi @brsshah,
According to the data source quotas posted [here](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/quicksight/latest/user/data-source-limits.html), you should not be encountering any type of limitation based on your size.
Prior to trying to create the data source, have you tried hitting the ‘validate connection’ to see if your connection is setup correctly?
Here’s some additional information on connecting Quick Sight to Athena for review:

> **[Authorizing connections to Amazon Athena - Amazon QuickSight](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/quicksight/latest/user/athena.html)**
>
> If you need use Amazon QuickSight with Amazon Athena or Amazon Athena Federated Query, you first need to authorize connections to Athena and the associated buckets in Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). Amazon Athena is an interactive query...

Let us know if this documentation helps setup your connection or if you have any additional questions!

If I do not wish to use Athena and just want to upload s3 directly can I add the s3 path or there are more steps involved? The only other option I can think of is loading the data from Redshift table directly. What are other possible options if am missing any?

Hi @brsshah,

Depending on your datasource; you can choose the option and follow the prompts linked to each specific datasource type:

If you’d like to just upload directly through S3, choose the Amazon S3 option. The steps involved will shift depending on the datasource you decide to utilize.
