I built an agent and want to publish it for my team to use whilst I'm on leave

I built an agent and want to publish it for my team to use whilst I’m on leave but I don’t seem to have the permissions.

How can I fix this?

Hi @lenoirpl

Welcome to the Quick community!

What you’re seeing is expected in Amazon Quick, creating an agent and sharing it with your team are governed by separate permissions, and sharing is controlled by your account’s custom permissions, which are managed by an administrator. It isn’t something you can enable in your own settings, so the fix is a quick adjustment on the admin side.

  1. If you don’t see a Share option on your agent, it’s very likely that Chat Agent permissions are restricted for your role or user.

  2. Ask your Amazon Quick administrator to review your custom permissions for Chat Agents. In Quick Suite’s permissions model, capabilities can be set at the account, role, and user levels and user-level settings override role-level, which override account-level, so an admin can grant this specifically to you even if a broader restriction is in place.

  3. Once that’s enabled, the agent can be shared from the Actions -> Share menu by searching for the user or group and choosing the appropriate permission level (for example, Owner, if you’d like a colleague to manage it while you’re away).
