I have created a calculated field which I have used in tooltip of a visual, what I want is that it’s value should not change as per the selection of controls that are there in the sheet, Is there anyway this can be achieved?
HI @kmrshub
do you mean you have a visual with filter and you also have a tooltip of the visual that shouldnt be influenced by the filter?
BR
Hi @ErikG, Yes you are correct.
To explain in detail, these are the controls/filters in the sheet.
And this is the visual where I’m using the calculated field in tooltip
What is happening here is that the value of T30D Users (%) and T30D Users (%) App is changing as per the selection of the control/filter App Name and Traffic Source, which I would prefer not to happen, It should remain the same irrespective of the selection in these two controls/filters.
Please let me know if this is possible or not.
Please if this is not possible or if there is a work around, do let me know. Thanks
Hi @kmrshub,
It’s been awhile since last communication took place on this thread; were you able to find a work around for your case since then?
What if you tried using ‘PRE_FILTER’ in your calculated field instead of ‘PRE_AGG’? You’ll only use that calculated field for your tooltip as to not affect the visual.
Let me know if this type of work around could work for your case or if you have any additional questions!
Hi @kmrshub,
Following up here again to see if you had any additional questions or were you able to find a work around?
If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll close out this topic.
Thank you!
Hi @Brett,
Apologies for the delayed response.
The ‘PRE_FILTER’ and ‘PRE_AGG’ options were not feasible for me, as the values continued to change based on the selection of the controls available in the sheet.
To achieve the desired output, I created a new column at the table level in the database with a fixed value corresponding to the date.
Thanks for following up.
