I am wanting to build a Dataset Status tracker so that users can see when datasets were last refreshed, the status of that refresh (success/failure) and when the next refresh is scheduled.
From my research, it looks like the describe-data-set CLI command might be an option. Is there a better way? Is the info in CloudWatch or CloudTrail? Or do I have to setup something to run the CLI command, put the results in S3, and then access them in QuickSight via Athena?
Any advice on best practices is appreciated! Thank you in advance.
