Microsoft word add-in error you don't have permission

I’m getting an add-in error for Microsoft Word Quick: “Add-in error - you don’t have permission to use this add-in. Contact your system administrator to request access.”

What is the fix?

Hey @joonkwon, welcome to the Amazon Quick Community!

My first thought is the connector needs to be shared with your user. It might also be a problem with the way the connector was set up on the Microsoft side. Are you able to view the connector in the actual connectors tab? I added a screenshot so you can see what I am talking about. If so, does it let you sign in or show you as signed in? I added a screenshot for that as well.

Hey Dylan - Appreciate the quick reply. How do I get to the page you are on?

Hello @joonkwon, do you see the Connectors option in your left nav bar in Quick? You can see what I am referring to in the first screen shot from my previous response. You may not have the proper account access if you aren’t seeing that.

What type of user account do you have in Quick?

I located the connectors on the Quick web version, but I don’t see microsoft onedrive integration.

Normal user account?

Hello @joonkwon, I think it is just the one called Amazon OneDrive. It is the Microsoft OneDrive logo.

It’s connnected. I can use it on outlook, just can’t on word.

Hello @joonkwon, you may need to update the permissions that you administrator provided the API from within Microsoft Entra admin center. Are you or an administrator able to check the app registrations to see what API permissions were given to Quick?

Hi @joonkwon,

Just checking back in since this thread hasn’t received a response in a while. Was Dylan’s reply helpful to you and/or were you able to find a solution yourself in the meantime? Please help the community by marking this answer as “Solution” or following up in general within the next 3 business days!

Thanks!

I logged out of all QS instances (web, pc app) and logged back-in. This gave back all the add-ins.
