Quick Desktop stores conversation history locally on your machine, so signing in on a new laptop won’t pull your old chats down from a server. If you still have access to the old laptop (or its drive), you can copy your profile folder over to the new one and your history should appear. Another user had a similar issue and shared detailed recovery steps here: I lost all my chats, context, etc after software update.
