Editing OAuth scope for AWS provided "AWS Slack" connector

Using an automated wokflow someone provided in the slack channel to summarize a private channel and send weekly emails to members. It cannot access channel conntent and my Quick Suite agent is telling me to configure “OAuth scope to include groups: history” for the AWS provided “AWS Slack” connector under available “Integrations”. Can I modify it? I cannot find the Clint ID.
How can I do this?

Hello @asimqu, welcome to the Quick Community!

I believe this is a permissions issue from Slack. You will need to update the Slack API configuration.

If you go to Slack API: Applications | Slack and select the Slack app that Quick is linked to, you can then navigate to OAuth & Permissions. Under the scopes section, you are going to want to add groups:history. Since this is a private channel, it is treated as a group rather than as a channel.

Just a heads up, you will need to add it to Bot Token Scopes, User Token Scopes, or both. Once you make the update, make sure you select to reinstall it to the workspace. Also, don’t forget to manually add the bot to the channel since it will not happen automatically!

Let me know if this helps resolve the issue! Otherwise, please let me know if you have any follow-up questions.

Hey @asimqu ! Did @DylanMorozowski ‘s answer above resolved your issue?

This seems like something community members and myself will likely run into so I was curious if you were able to get it solved.

Hi @asimqu,

Following up here as it’s been awhile since last communication took place on this thread; did you have any additional questions regarding your case or did the solution provided above help out?

If we do not hear back within the next 3 business days, I’ll mark the solution.

Thank you!

Hi @asimqu,

Since we have not heard back, I’ll go ahead and close out this topic. However, if you have any additional questions, feel free to create a new post in the community.

Thank you!
